Photography

Started to get back into photography after thinking about what I can do to keep my mind stimulated in my retirement years. So I purchased a Four-Thirds size Olympus EM-10 Mark IV camera. I just love the old school look to the camera's design. It's very compact and feels good in the hand(s).

Below are some practice shots I took to get to know the camera. As of late I have been investing time manipulating ISO, shutter speed, and aperture settings, as well as post-production modifications with exposure, contrast, and color saturation.

In the early go I was content to shoot stills of flora and set portraits.

I also wanted to try monochrome, which I've had a fascination with since forever. Maybe it's an outgrowth of my love for black and white film noir.

The shots were taken at Ogunquit, Maine along the Marginal Way on a cloudy, blustery day, as well as on the Ogunquit pier...but there was some "collah" to be had.
